What was discovered
In a moving fluid, where speed increases, pressure decreases; 'Hydrodynamica' also explains gas pressure as particle collisions. It founds fluid dynamics and anticipates kinetic theory.
His father Johann Bernoulli tried to claim the result by publishing an antedated 'Hydraulica'.
