What it is
In 1490 Hua Sui printed books with metal type cast in bronze, the first documented metal typography in China. Other printers in Wuxi and Changzhou followed his example.
Korea was already printing with metal type (Jikji, 1377) and Gutenberg from c. 1450; in China woodblock printing remained dominant.
