What was discovered
An atomic model with a massive central nucleus and electrons orbiting in rings, like Saturn. It anticipated the atomic nucleus that Rutherford confirmed in 1911, who cited it.
The model was unstable according to classical physics, and Nagaoka abandoned it in 1908.
