What it is
Optical processor that performed Gaussian boson sampling with 76 photons, a task estimated to be intractable for classical supercomputers. It was the second demonstration of quantum advantage and the first with photons.
Later classical algorithms have reduced the claimed advantage, as in the case of Sycamore (Google, 2019).
