What was discovered
A portolan chart on gazelle skin compiling around 20 maps, including a lost one by Columbus, showing the Atlantic coast of Europe, Africa and South America. His Kitab-ı Bahriye (1521) is a major nautical manual of the Mediterranean.
Theories that it shows Antarctica without ice have no basis.
