What was discovered
Bose derives Planck's law by counting photons as indistinguishable particles; Einstein extends the method to atoms and predicts Bose-Einstein condensation. It introduces quantum indistinguishability and the division of particles into bosons and fermions.
Bose sent the manuscript to Einstein after being rejected by Philosophical Magazine; Einstein translated and published it.
